Trump Warns Iran Over Nuclear Deal, Says “No More Mr. Nice Guy”

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has called on Iran to move quickly toward a nuclear agreement, warning that patience is running out and declaring, “No more Mr. nice guy!”

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, Trump said, “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a nonnuclear deal. They better get smart soon.”

The post also featured an image of the president wearing a black suit and sunglasses while holding a firearm, set against a backdrop of explosions in an Iranian landscape.

The comments come amid heightened tensions following a joint US-Israeli military offensive against Iran on Feb. 28, which led Tehran to carry out retaliatory strikes targeting US-linked interests across the region, including sites in several Gulf countries.

A ceasefire was later announced on April 8 through Pakistani mediation, followed by talks held in Islamabad on April 11–12. However, those discussions ended without reaching an agreement.

Trump later said the truce had been extended at Pakistan’s request while awaiting a proposal from Tehran.

On Monday, he indicated skepticism toward Iran’s most recent proposal, which reportedly suggested reopening the Strait of Hormuz while deferring negotiations on its nuclear program to a later stage.
